2021 LGNSW Board Election

Nominations and Nominated Voting Delegates due by 5 October

A reminder that nominations as a candidate in the Board election must reach the Returning Officer at the AEC no later than 12pm (AEDT) on Tuesday 5 October 2021.

Nominations are called for: 

  • President (1)
  • Vice-President (Metropolitan/Urban) (1)
  • Vice-President (Rural/ Regional) (1)
  • Treasurer (1)
  • Directors (Metropolitan/Urban) (7)
  • Directors ((Rural/ Regional) (7)

A nomination form is available for electronic completion on the online AEC Portal. However, the nomination form must then be lodged in accordance with the Organisation's rules (see full notice). 

How to lodge nominations: 

  • By Portal: Australian Electoral Commission Portal, www.aec.gov.au/ieb/ 
  • By Email: A properly completed nomination form including all necessary signatures and attachments may be scanned and submitted as a pdf file to [email protected] 

Prospective candidates and nominators should verify their financial status and any other qualifications required by the Organisation's rules prior to lodging nominations.

Nominated Voting Delegate(s) Information Required

Ordinary members need to advise LGNSW of the name(s) of their nominated voting delegate(s) for the Annual Conference, as well as the Board election. 

Associate members need only advise LGNSW of the name(s) of their nominated voting delegate(s) for the Annual Conference. 

The number of voting delegates that each member is entitled to send to the Annual Conference and for voting in the Board election is listed in Appendix A. 

Members are required to advise LGNSW of the details of their nominated voting delegates for the Annual Conference and Board election (if applicable) by 5pm (AEDT) on Tuesday 5 October 2021.
